Although you may think your decision is right, there is always going to be a consequence for your actions. I make decisions that I regret later all the time. Dominos Pizza really makes me feel better when i’m not feeling too well so i tend to eat it a lot. But on this particular day i ordered my regular, a hand tossed alfredo, garlic sauce, mozzarella cheese, steak, mushrooms, and spinach. I specifically said no olives. My pizza arrives at my door I sit it on the table open it and all I see is olives. I was furious because the taste of them is unpleasant. So I called Dominos and said, “Hello this is Jania from 621 and I just received my pizza and it has olives on it, and I specifically asked that you put no olives on my pizza”. He says “I’m sorry ma’am for the inconvenience and the mistake but, delivery is a hour wait. You can come in and pick the pizza up”. So i say “Thank you that will be fine have a good night”. So later on in the next week on a Friday I go to Dominos to get my pizza and guess what I got my free pizza. Me choosing to order Dominos that night and requesting no olives resulted in me getting a free pizza.

The six weeks is coming to an end,  in some classes I can honestly say that I don’t feel confident about them. I feel that some classes have been more of a struggle than others. For example,  my medical class it is a pretty difficult class, but I have the time to do the work and I also comprehend what we are learning. When it comes to English I don’t feel as confident. I feel that this is going to be a tough year because I am being pushed to reach goals that I cannot see, but everyone sees it for me. Right now nothing in school satisfies me. I come to school because I have to,  but if I had to choose a class I find most intriguing it would have to be either geometry or medical terminology. I find geometry interesting because its just formulas and as long as you can understand what you are doing it it is not too hard. I find my medical class interesting because I learn something new everyday. I am looking forward to starting dance because it keeps me occupied and in shape.

My english and chemistry class are mostly whats is causing my struggles. I think I can overcome my struggles in chemistry by going to more tutorials to get a better understanding of the material that we are learning. I do not really like english because I don’t like things that I don’t understand, I have a hard time when it comes to understanding english. I don’t understand punctuation, or how to read something then answer questions pertaining to what I have read. I find it challenging for me to comprehend, on top of that we go very fast which makes it harder for me to keep up. I have had lots of thoughts about college, but I try not to spend all my time thinking about it because it makes me feel overwhelmed. I know that my first choice would have to be PVAMU then OU. OU is a big choice for me because they have a fantastic medical program and as you know I am going to be the best nurse practitioner one day therefore I need the best education. PV is a choice because the college itself interests me.  I know for me to get accepted into the college I want I need to keep an A B grade point average. I know that I need to start preparing for the SAT’s and ACT’s because i’m going to need high scores.

My favorite childhood book is A Bad Case of Stripes. The book was about a girl that loved lima beans but she stopped eating them because her friends didn’t like them and she wanted to be just like them. She goes to sleep and wakes up with thick solid colored stripes all over her body. She goes to school and she has some changed in color and some of the people in her class tease her. Finally she eats some lima beans and she successfully transformed back into a human and continues to eat the lima beans.

I remember that was my favorite book to read every night before I went to bed. The book itself had interesting pictures in it, it was very colorful and descriptive. This was my favorite book because it was interesting and also fun and colorful. This book also taught a good lesson that you should always be yourself and like what you like because you like it and you do not need to care about what other people like because its your life. i didn’t understand the lesson until i got much older but still. To this day i still have a copy on the book shelf in my closet.

Introduce Yourself (Example Post)

This is an example post, originally published as part of Blogging University. Enroll in one of our ten programs, and start your blog right.

You’re going to publish a post today. Don’t worry about how your blog looks. Don’t worry if you haven’t given it a name yet, or you’re feeling overwhelmed. Just click the “New Post” button, and tell us why you’re here.

Why do this?

  • Because it gives new readers context. What are you about? Why should they read your blog?
  • Because it will help you focus you own ideas about your blog and what you’d like to do with it.

The post can be short or long, a personal intro to your life or a bloggy mission statement, a manifesto for the future or a simple outline of your the types of things you hope to publish.

To help you get started, here are a few questions:

  • Why are you blogging publicly, rather than keeping a personal journal?
  • What topics do you think you’ll write about?
  • Who would you love to connect with via your blog?
  • If you blog successfully throughout the next year, what would you hope to have accomplished?

You’re not locked into any of this; one of the wonderful things about blogs is how they constantly evolve as we learn, grow, and interact with one another — but it’s good to know where and why you started, and articulating your goals may just give you a few other post ideas.

Can’t think how to get started? Just write the first thing that pops into your head. Anne Lamott, author of a book on writing we love, says that you need to give yourself permission to write a “crappy first draft”. Anne makes a great point — just start writing, and worry about editing it later.

When you’re ready to publish, give your post three to five tags that describe your blog’s focus — writing, photography, fiction, parenting, food, cars, movies, sports, whatever. These tags will help others who care about your topics find you in the Reader. Make sure one of the tags is “zerotohero,” so other new bloggers can find you, too.
